Shout Out to Our Firies!
Big Shout-Out to the two rural firefighters I met on the road outside Bouldercombe, on Monday.
Turns out they were from Baralaba/Wowan Rural Fire Brigade and were in the area helping to manage a small brush fire.
Even though Baralaba/Wowan isn’t in my electorate, I was more than happy to hand these two firies one of our Firefighter Gift Bags, full of local goodies, which my fantastic electorate staff had put together as a big ‘thank you’ to our local Brigades!.
With Fire Season nearly upon us, all our rural firefighters, volunteers and emergency services workers are out and about, working hard to keep our communities safe.
If you see one, don’t forget to say Thank You!
They are an amazing bunch of people!! Each and every one, deserves our deepest gratitude and respect.
Never forget – 1,400 Rural Fire Brigades covering 93% of Queensland!!
